- You will not own the intellectual property rights (including the copyright) in any software or document (“Material”) which you download from this site but you will be licensed to use such Material on the terms set forth in this licence. In the event that the Material comes with its own specific licence terms, those terms will apply in place of these. Save as aforesaid, your only rights in respect of the Material are those set out in these conditions. Charteris and the person who has made available the Material for download from this site reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in these conditions.
- The Material is made available without charge and, in consideration of this, YOU ACCEPT THAT:
- THE MATERIAL IS SUPPLIED “AS IS”, WITH NO WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, GUARANTEES OR OTHER TERMS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO ITS QUALITY OR THE OWNERSHIP OF THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS CONTAINED THEREIN. NONE WHATSOEVER. ALL TERMS, CONDITIONS AND WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW IN RESPECT OF THE FOREGOING MATTERS ARE EXCLUDED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW; AND
- TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, CHARTERIS AND THE PERSON WHO HAS MADE AVAILABLE THE MATERIAL FOR DOWNLOAD FROM THIS SITE EXCLUDE ALL FINANCIAL LIABILITY UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, NEGLIGENCE) IN RESPECT OF THE MATERIAL AND ANY USE YOU MAY MAKE OF THE MATERIAL WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY SHOULD BE DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INCIDENTAL.
You will pass on the foregoing disclaimer and limitation provisions with any distribution you may make of the Material or any derivative works thereof.
- You may use the Material for any commercial or non-commercial purpose provided that you accept the following conditions:

- You must not remove any copyright or other notices from the Material. Subject to the foregoing, you will not use Charteris’ name, logo, or trademarks in association with any use you make of the Material unless otherwise permitted in writing by Charteris.
- You will indemnify and defend Charteris and the person who has made available the Material for download from this site from and against any claims or lawsuits, including attorneys’ fees, that arise or result from the use or distribution of your modifications to the Material and any additional software or documents you distribute along with the Material.
- Your rights under these conditions in respect of the Materials will end automatically if you breach them in any way.
This licence is governed by English law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
